My Question or Issue
For long podcast libraries, the lazy loading feature is causing playback issues. If a library is longer than X amount, it will not initially load any episodes of podcast beyond X upon initial view. If the user scrolls down to the end of this list of X, it will then load Y more episodes.
I understand why you might do this, particularly for the initial viewing, but the issue arises when you have loaded more than the initial X listing of episodes. The playback issue is that after Z amount of time, the loaded listing will then "unload", causing the playback to lose context and begin playing episodes out of order.
I would highly encourage you to remove the timed unload feature and keep the lazy loading only on that initial view session. As it is, it is highly disruptive to a smooth listening experience and results in enough frustration that I have begun to use other applications for playback of podcasts and may even seek another all inclusive app for music as well.
It is very frustrating to have to go back to application and scroll around feverishly every 20 minutes to get it to reload the listing more fully, for proper playback. I can only imagine that having to reload that listing every 20 minutes is likely MORE taxing on your servers than it is just load it once and be done with it.
