MY Spotify Windows app is not responding!!!

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate and when I turn on my computer, the Spotify app automatically opens. But if I close the app and reopen it, it gives me an error that it's not responding. Is something wrong with the app or isn't it compatible with Windows 7?

Is there a spotify.exe process still runing in the background? Maybe it crashes while closing. Open task manager (CTRL+ESC) and kill the process should do the trick.

No. When I start my computer the Spotify app automatically opens and sometimes nothing is displayed in its screen. It's just black. So I close the app and reopen it by doubleclicking its icon (hoping something gets displayed). But after a minute it gives me an error saying that it's not responding. Then it won't open at all.

Yes. When it is not responding, kill all spotify processes in task manager and try again.
