Pause/Resume not working

Im having a problem using the multimedia keys with spotify. The pause/resume button isnt working but I can skip songs by using multimedia keys on either my keyboard or my mouse. I already tried to fix the chrome issue others were experiencing but it didnt help. Hope I can find a solution here.
