My Question/Issue
So since the Big Update, I have the problem that when I add new songs(multiple) to a Playlist the order is not correct or mixed up on the Desktop app.
You see in the Pictures that I have the Song Intro going into Outro but in the Queue it shows the right order.
When I add Songs they are mixed but if I start with the Intro song it goes through the right Order.
It's only a Visual Bug I think cause on my Phone and on the Web App it is like it should be.
Hope someone can help me out.
Thank you
Edit:There was an Update like a few Minutes ago which kind of fixed it but now each Song from an Album is in the Order from last song to the first for example Song Outro is first and Intro is last one in Queue.
Hi there @tgps,
Thank you for your post and confirmation.
We're really glad to hear that everything works as it should for you.
Let us know if we can help you with anything else 🙂
Take care!
Hey Guys, I'm having the same problems on my Samsung S10. Reinstalling didn't work, neither did deleting data.
The playlist ist sorted in the desired order, but the App plays it backwards. It's the same issue with all my playlists created by myself.
On the Desktop-App on Win10, everything works fine.
It's very similar to @arolekaro .
Hey folks!
Thanks for your reports.
We appreciate your patience on this and we'd like to pass on everyone's details so that the team will be able to investigate this more quickly and efficiently.
Could you let us know your exact Spotify versions if you haven't already and your OS version?
The screenshots that @HikarinoMajo has included are very helpful, but we'll also be thankful for a video of how the whole process looks like.
Make sure you also do what @tgps suggested and try updating the app to the latest version before testing this again. It'd be awesome if you'd let us know how it goes in case this does the trick.
Once again, thanks for cooperating with us on this!
Noticed this issue today.
Samsung S10. Android 11. Latest samsung update.
Spotify Version 8.6.24.918
Restarted Phone, clear cache, new install of spotify, nothing works.
When sorting my playlists with the order of recently added, starting with the newest at the top, the player goes backwards!
So instead of going to the second recently added, it stops, then skips to the first song of the list! If I begin at the third recently added, it then goes to second, first, and stops! Super wierd. Check my screenshots of my playlist, vs the quoe order list..
As you see, the player goes backwards..
This affects all my playlists, and only if i sort by newly added.
Here i have attached a video showing this erroneous album behavior that only started since the update to 1.1.58.820.g2ae50076-a (desktop) from the previous version I was on, which was before the desktop/mobile design merge.
As you can see, when I add an album to a playlist, it adds fine, but when I try to sort the playlist by "recently added," the album order inverts (wrong behavior). The album should always stay in order, like it does on the iOS app (that I have) and previous versions of the desktop app. This glitch is new to the version I listed earlier. I saw other comments saying this glitch is also appearing on mobile now, which makes me hesitant to update, but either way I am unable to test on iOS because the newer mobile app has the problem where playlist orders are being sorted incorrectly by most recently edited instead of the playlist order.
The behavior should be changed back to treating albums as individual units when choosing sort order in playlist, so whether we search by most recent or oldest added, any album that is playing should play in order. The way it is now, I can't listen to a playlist by recently added because albums will play backwards (wrong behavior).
Thank you.

Same issue.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Select a whole album (all songs inside)
2. Right-click -> Add to a playlist
3. If not already, set the playlist to sort by "Latest added"
4. In the playlist, added songs are in the reversed order (from last album song to first album song).
The issue (4.) is only reproducible in the Windows app. On iOS, the songs are sorted correctly if I open the same playlist.
(correctly means - as it was before the big windows UI update and also as most of the users expect it to work)
This seems to be fixed now. It works correctly for me in 1.1.60.672.g6ad9c215-a
With the newest Update, it is Indeed finally fixed.
Thank you all for working on that problem. ^-^
it is working for me now as well. thank you for fixing it, i only listen to spotify on pc. good timing, i was on the verge of moving to another service.
fixed for me also thank all
