Playlists Going Missing

Note: this issue is RESOLVED using alternative means, I am trying to identify WHY it happened so that I may prevent missing playlists in the future.

I recently noticed quite a few of my personal playlists had disappeared from my Spotify library. I am only signed in on desktop and mobile. These playlists were hand-crafted for certain characters I was writing. I did not delete them manually. I luckily was able to access them again because I had linked them to character profiles. Once following the links, I would find myself on the playlist page as normal. Spotify would say that the playlist is already in my library, but it wasn't. It only showed up when I moved it to a playlist folder.
