My Question or Issue

The songs tab has gone missing from My library.

I used this all the time on shuffle to listen to all the music ive saved on spotify!

Why has this gone and anyway around it?

I left spotify premium once before for a stupid issues of wiping the entire songs out now ive not long come back and this happens? Is it really too much to keep that in spotify?

Hey @almostgfx, welcome to the Community.

Hope you are having a great time!

Nothing to worry! Spotify is undertaking some changes and Songs folder name is now Favorite Songs. Another change is that the + and Follow buttons are changed to a ♥︎.
You will be able to Follow artists and playlists by tapping that heart which will add the to Your library, but don't worry they won't be added to your Favorite Songs yet. When you open a playlist or when exploring an artisits page for songs you can tap ♥︎ again this time to save them in Favorite Songs.
Spotify has made this change to make one universal icon to add something to your library! ♥︎

Have a nice day!

@ are you a spotify technician, or just another user?

Seems a bit more long winded.. can’t I just have a songs list back when I follow and artist or album rather than having to press it twice to go into another list?

youre telling me that to get all my songs back I need to go and find every single album or artist I’ve ever followed and press on them again? Come on just add songs back.. you havnt made it eaiser at all :((

Hey @Jeebs2137,

As my badge states I am not a Spotify employee. You can read more about it here 🙂

@almostgfx

I was confused as well at first but as my last sentence stated that Spotify has made this change to make one universal icon to add something to your library. However, if you would like, you can submit it in Idea Submissions board or support it if this idea has been already submitted.

Have a nice weekend to both of you 😉

if it is not broken, dont fix it. a rule to live by.

Perfect example.

Ignoring the fact that this was an unnecessary change, it would be a good idea to notify users about it in some way so we don't have to scour the internet for answers. A simple pop up the first time you use Spotify after the update would suffice. I was understandably confused as to why my Songs tab was gone, and would have greatly appreciated some sort of heads up.
