Songs won't sync between devices

Songs I liked on my phone won't show up in the desktop application.
I have this issue for several months now. There are workarounds, but what I want is a fix.

Have you tried to re-install Spotify from both your phone and computer?

Yes, I did but it's not a permanent fix. Some time later the issue is back.
