Spotify Cache keeps clogging up my PC

My Question or Issue

I dont know if this is the right place to post this, but this is the only place that will allow me to post, so Im posting here

Why am I unable to clear and delete the cache through the Spotify Windows App, and I have to do it manually through a program every time. Spotify keeps storing extremely large data (On average 10 GBs per 2 weeks) and since I cant change app install location, it uses my Windows drive, which I have ONLY to have Windows files, not Spotify clog. The location is:
AppData/Local/Packages/SpotifyAB.SpotifyMusic_zpd..../LocalCache/Spotify/Data

I'm sick and tired of every week clearing up this useless cache, and spotify offering 0 ways or care about how this can be handled. Stop clogging up drives with cache data, or at least give the option to control it.

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community. 

Keep in mind that it's expected for the app to build up cache over time as you're listening to your content. Also, the more songs you have saved for offline use, the more space your cache will take up and the audio quality have an impact on it as well.

That being said, you mentioned that you're unable to clear the cache from the Windows app. Just to confirm, does the option not appear in the app settings or does it appear but does nothing when you click on it? You can find it by clicking on your profile picture in the upper right corner of the app Settings > Storage > Cache. 

If you can't see that option there, it's well worth running a clean reinstall of the app to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble. If previously you downloaded the app from our website, now when reinstalling, try downloading it from the Microsoft Store or vice versa.
