After the last update, my spotify stopped working. It did work previously without problems but this morning it no longer opened at all.
I'm using a Windows 8 system. I attempted to open spotify and there was no response whatsoever. No error message was displayed.
I attempted to uninstall Spotify in order to reinstall it, but windows would not uninstall Spotify. I attempted to run the uninstall from Control Panel and absolutely nothing occured yet again.
I manually deleted Spotify then downloaded the installer and ran it. After running the installer and restarting the computer multiple times (at least 5 attempts of deleting, reinstalling and restarting the system) Spotify continues to fail to perform any sort of action whatsoever.
Same problem but with Windows Seven 😞
Hey guys 🙂
Can you try a clean reinstallation in windows safe mode with networking and see if that helps?

I can confirm that spotify runs ok (without sound) when run on windows 8 in safemode with networking (before and after a clean install). I`m gonna try restarting back without safemode to see if its fixed.
Confirmed - restarting your Windows 8 PC into safemode with networking, then uninstalling and reinstalling Spotify seems to work to repair the issue for now.
If it goes again Ill write back.

Well it looks like spotify has lasted a week of daily working after the last safemode reinstall before failing tonight again.... Lets just hope windows 10 fixes it next week....
I recently upgraded Spotify and have since upgraded my Samsung Galaxy X phone (as recommended) and reinstalled Spotify 3 times now but I still get a blank screen with Spotify at the top so it looks as though it's going to launch and then just bombs out.....it is VERY frustrating! It works perfectly on my PC though........any ideas????
