Spotify Skipping then Stops

Sometimes I will skip a song then it'll skip everysong for about 5 seconds in the playlist or album until it comes to a stop. I can't play the next song, play previous song, change the time, play a new playlist or album. The same thing happens on mobile. Restarting Spotify or Logging out and logging in doesn't work. The only thing that I can control is stopping and playing the song. Anyone know a soloution?

EDIT: Restarting my computer solves the problem but if there is an easier way please share
