Spotify for Web non functioning

Spotify for Web non functioning

I use Spotify for Web on Windows 10 in Chrome. I've been getting a consistent "you are offline" error despite knowing that my computer is connected to the internet and otherwise working fine. Signing out and back in again has made the issue worse, because now I only get the error "Something went wrong, Try reloading the page". Reloading changes nothing.
Clearing cookies and the cache and logging in again gives me the same issue. Disabling adblockers and other Chrome plug-ins does not change anything, either. I don't know what to do about this.
I haven't been able to restart Chrome or my computer entirely at the moment due to work that I'm currently trying to do while having this problem but can try later if this can't be fixed without it.

Hey @alolanr,

Thanks for posting in the Community an welcome 🙂

We really appreciate the info you kindly shared with us and kudos for the troubleshooting you've already tried. Just to confirm, is this happening on a different internet browser? If yes, please let us know.

On another note,  do you use a VPN? If yes, try switching it off. We'd like to gather as many details as possible. It'd be really helpful if you let us know if the affected device is a personal or work computer.

Lastly, can you check if you notice any difference by changing the internet connection you're using? If possible, you can create a hotspot with the cellular data of your mobile device.

Take you time, we'll be here on the lookout for your reply.

Cheers!
