Spotify offline despite working wifi connection

My Question or Issue

Hello, after the update to version 1.1.18.611.g9cc9bdc9, Spotify is stuck to offline (the offline mode is disabled from the settings menu) and doesn't connect to the internet. It's not an internet connection issue as it fully works. Windows 7 running on an Asus Notebook. As a premium user, it's quite disappointing paying for a thing that doesn't work. Thanks.

Since it happened after an update, I'm curious if a clean reinstall would help.

Note: After deleting the client, make sure there are no files left in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Spotify before installing it again!

Just wanted to jump in here and add to @spoti_user's suggestion.

Could you try the following steps, as suggested here:

1. Close/exit the Spotify app
2. Click on the Start Icon
3. Write cmd and open Command Prompt
4. The Windows Command Prompt Window will appear. Type in: ipconfig /flushdns and press ENTER
5. You should receive the following message: Windows IP Configuration. Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache
6. Open the Spotify application?

If that doesn't work, could you let us know the exact Spotify version you're running?
