Spotify outputing audio in mono

Spotify outputing audio in mono

I use my Acer laptop and M-Audio audio interface (over USB type C), and for some reason that configuration outputs the audio in mono, both via speakers and headphones. It works completely fine when listening over Bluetooth or onboard 3,5mm headphone jack. Sound is outputted in stereo with any other software.

Is there any fix to this?

Hey @ LandStar,

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community!

Note that as of 01.07.2020 Spotify no longer officially supports any third party dj apps. This means that issues with playback over such apps is expected behaviour.

If you'd like this feature reintroduced, we'd recommend you take a look in our Idea Exchange and see if someone has already submitted an idea for this feature to be added  and if not post your own.

The Idea Exchange is a great way for us to see what our users are interested in and how many people like a certain idea. You can read more about it here.

In the meantime it's a good idea to also check with the Customer Support team of M-Audi to see of they can provide a feasible workaround for this issue. You can teach them on this page.

Hope this is helpful but don't hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions!
