My Question or Issue
I'm not sure how to phrase the title of this post. But this is as accurate as I can describe it.
But I wanted to see if anyone but me has experienced this? And if yes, how did you solve it?
I mainly use Spotify to listen to music while working. And after X amount of time, the Internet is getting "blocked". Music is still running, however, I'm certain that has something to do with caching.
This happened to me a couple of times, and a reboot "solved" it, I guess. Until I opened my task manager one day and saw Spotify using up half of my bandwidth. I have a 1000/1000 Mbit connection, and Spotify was bubbling around at 500 Mbit/s. So I closed Spotify and voila, internet was unblocked.
So my initial thought was that maybe Spotify is using too much bandwidth including overhead, etc. So I purchased NetLimiter and put a very light limit on Spotify at 10 Mbit/s.
This doesn't seem to work, though. Even at 10 Mbit/s, Spotify still seems to crash my internet. And I'm not able to trigger this manually. It never happens before the first hour, and then sporadically throughout the day.
My next idea is to see if Spotify exceeds the TCP/IP connection limit in Windows - and if so, why? Because I'm out of ideas at this point.
