Last few versions of Spotify fail to install the latest update.
Once the update is downloaded I get the blue arrow in the top right-hand corner suggesting that I restart Spotify to install the update but when it reloads it has not installed.
The only way I can get it to update is to uninstall and reinstall so it downloads and installs the latest version.

That's odd. Let's try a deeper reinstallation to get this fixed. Just follow these steps:
C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Spotify\Storage
C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Spotify\Users\<random numbers-user>\
There is a folder for each profile that has been logged into Spotify on that computer account.
Thanks for this. I have done that but wont be able to tell if it has worked until a new update has been released.
