Why was the queue moved to the right instead of the center?

Why was the queue moved to the right instead of the center?

My playlist queue used to be in the center column on the desktop app. Now it has moved to the right column and I really hate it there. How do I move it back to the center?

I don't think they're ever going to change back. The top of the center column now defaults to a "Sponsored Playlist" advertisement. I can see doing this for the Free accounts (like mine), but it sucks for the people who pay for it, expecting an ad-free experience, and yet having one of their beloved key features taken away from them for the sake of posting an ad.

I had to activate my community account to post here, and it's all because I can't just see the queue. I had been using the web version and then recently subbed up because I liked the auto Playlist better than YouTube music. installed the app for a better experience and it's so bad and annoying that I'm looking for a new solution.  maybe Plex with Tidal. or as much as I hate to say it, back back to YouTube music, even though their downgrades from Google play music are atrocious as well.

why don't these companies get it?

why

Tip: If you're using the Flatpak version on Linux, you can downgrade one version to have the original queue view back! Run this:

sudo flatpak update --commit=9eb82ec8c70583f08d33590430ec1f5261c4f1105522e2b00bb209e9bc7b7fc1 com.spotify.Client

new to spotify,  queue on right sucks

Yes!  Welcome to the forum!

So obviously wrong where Spotify put the queue and sized it-- If you ever actually use Spotify-- the queue should obviously be in the middle and have the most space when you are using it!
