Windows app showing only "something went wrong", can't see content.

I tried uninstalling and installing the desktop app again, but the same error happens right after logging in. I can't see starting page or anything, only a dialog saying "something went wrong, try reloading the page" and the "reload page" button dismisses the dialog for it to just pop back up. Anyone else have this problem?

I don't think I've seen this before. Are you using the Desktop version downloaded from the Spotify website or the Microsoft Store version?

Could you try a clean uninstall?

Also, are you on a home network or a school/work network? It's possible Spotify has been blocked on your network.

I downloaded it from Spotify website. I uninstalled from settings, and it seems that the AppData folders were deleted automatically as well, so I don't know how much more clean it could be. I tried installing it now again, and it seems to work now. I'm on home network, but I'm not sure if I had work VPN connected on Tuesday. I'll test that... Ok, the page on Spotify went dark after connecting, so maybe it has become blocked there.

Is everything working well, now?

Most VPNs have a way to pick what apps do and don't go through it.

Everything has worked since, and I checked that Spotify isn't blocked in my work network, so can't say what the issue actually was.

Actually no, Spotify still seems like it's in offline mode when I'm connected to my work VPN. My colleagues report that Spotify is working fine for them in the same network, so it can't be blocked by that.

Does the web player work?
