My Question or Issue

I just redownloaded Spotify and the desktop app has been running awfully. The only time a song will play is if it's put in a playlist.


The mobile app and web player work fine, but not the desktop app, which is unsynced from the other 2. Anything I can do?

Hello @hokuyo , thanks for reaching out.

Firstly, I'm going to ask that you download the Microsoft Store version of the app.

Perhaps we can try some steps to deal with it and see where to go from there, yeah?

  • check whether the app does the same on a different PC
  • Try a different network connection
  • Log out of your account and back in.
  • Disable features like VPNs.

 * Do not have access to another PC

* Do not have access to another wi-fi network

* Tried multiple times, did not work

* Do not have VPNs on my computer.
