spotify cannot play current track

spotify cannot play current track

in spotify for every non local track it says it cannot play the current track, in the console i get ChannelError(5, 0, streams)

most recent spotify version, used to be able to play just fine

Hey there! Do you have a premium subscription? If not, the reason is probably that Spotify just rolled out an update that limited high quality streaming to Premium subscribers. Check your playback quality level and see if lowering it fixes the problem.

actually, I changed the HQ settings (even thoguh these are just for premium) and things seem good so far!

Io sono riuscito a risolvere il problema svuotando la cache.

 

1. Aprire Spotify

2. Aprire Preferenze -> Mostra Impostazioni Avanzate

3. Copiare il percorso indicato ed incollarlo in un file di testo (pìsemplicemente per sapere dove andare)

4. Chiudere Spotify

5. Aprire il percorso della Cache con il file explorer

6. Eliminare tutto il contenuto della cartella Storage (dovrebbe essere l'ultima cartella del percorso)

7. Riaprire Spotify e dovrebbe funzionare di nuovo tutto.

 

A me è successo dopo la scadenza della prova Premium su Spotify per Mac.

I had the same problem; only not on windows but on Mac OS X.

Disabling the high quality streaming option solved the issue.

 

I spent a few days being very annoyed with the software, as it didn't supply me a useful explanation for not being able to play.

But fortunately, this community came up with the solution.

Hiya,

 

Joining a pretty old thread but I've just gone back to the free version and it keeps saying it cant play the current track. Weirder still is that if I try twice it usually plays but only one song before saying it can't play again.

Dopo l'ultimo aggiornamento non posso più ascoltare nessun brano.

Mi compare una barra blu con scritto impossibile riprodurre il brano corrente!

Questo capita su OGNI BRANO presente in spotify.

Untick the "Enable High Quality Streaming" option in Edit > Preferences @Comisworld .

ciao, ho l'abbonamento premium da un paio di mesi, e da quando l'ho sottoscritto più di metà della musica che in genere ascoltavo regolarmente, mi da il classico errore "impossibile riprodurre".

 

Ho provato a defleggare sia lo streaming HD sia l' accelerazione hardware, ma niente.

 

Una soluzione ? grazie

Stesso problema. Nel mio caso sembra essere un problema di rete, cambiando dns tutto funziona correttamente.

I've the same problem. This started when my Premium Membership has expired. I tried to play songs whit other devices and all works good,the problem it's only with my laptop. I've also tried to use Spotify with my friend's profile on my laptop but it's always the same.
At last,I've olso tried to reinstal Spotify but nothing has changed.

Anyone can help me??

I'm having the same issue. 

I have a premium subscription and the same problem...

I fixed the problem! Try to uninstall and download again Spotify... it worked for me!

Le impostazioni di base sono le stesse di sempre
