[All Platforms] Sleep Timer

I am a new user to Spotify from NZ and the first thing I miss having moved from iphone's built in music player is the sleep timer. I understand this feature stopped working in one of the recent versions of spotify App. If it is a compatibility issue partly related to iOS 5, may I suggest that you build a sleep timer into the App itself? 

Also, as suggest by one other Spotify user, Nyx, it would be even better if you could include an alarm featuer so we can all wake up to our favourite playlists within Spotify.

Thanks again for all the great work you guys are doing and we really hope you would consider this new idea.

Update: The issue with sleep timer seems to be working in iOS 8.

So this is the incredible Spotify DevOps rapid feature delivery engineering culture I keep hearing about.

2 years to add a feature that a beginner could code in an afternoon. Come on guys, everything else works fine now., surely you can get around to this one.

You feature "Sleep playlists" in the Browse section, but what use is a sleep playlist when I can't use the sleep timer? 🙂

I'd love too +1 this. I often listen to podcasts with a sleep timer, but sometimes when i've run out of podcasts, I'd love to listen to music that way too!

Dear Spotify. I understand "not yet", but after 2 years to still have this feature missing is a bit dissapointing to say at least. Could you please revisit the idea of sleep timer?

Too bad that developers do not see value of timer - either in the app or make the app function with the IOS timer, which would be even better.

I can't for the life of me figure out why Spotify wouldn't work to add a sleep timer to the iOS apps IMMEDIATELY!

What's Spotify's greatest expense?... Paying royalties to rights holders (69%). Think this through... streaming music unnecessarily while a user is asleep could account for 10% or more of their usage. Accross all users this could amount to 6.9% of Spotify's total expense (10% of 69%). If I were running this company and someone told me that I was wasting 6.9% of my revenue that could be EASILY fixed with something as simple as a sleep timer... I just might stop what I'm doing and get done!

Think it through Spotify... I'm trying to help you save a serious amount of money while making the user experience better. Is there some sort of problem with that!?

Even though it has already been mentioned that more recent suggestions like this are in fact a duplicate sugestion of this very one, this suggestion was made in 2012. The answer was that Spotify would be working on platforms already available today.

It would be awesome to hear what's their priority right now, since this shouldn't be as complex as launching new platforms or creating new algorithms to fine-tune the songs sugestions we have...I mean...it's only a timer. My old 21" tube TV has that function.

Saludos. Estoy muy contento con el app de spotify para moviles. No obstante en las noches me gusta ir a la cama con un poco de musica o algun programa de radio. Por ejemplo en podcast puedes poner que se apague a los 15, 30 y 45 minutos de reproduccion. Esta opcion se extraña en el app de spotify; creo que se necesitaria y seria super util un temporizador, sleeper o como le quieran llamar, para que nos de la opcion de que se apague la música luego de un periodo determinado. Ojala lo puedan incluir en las proximas actualizaciones. Incluido por supuesto en latinoamerica o de forma global.
