[All Platforms] Sleep Timer

I am a new user to Spotify from NZ and the first thing I miss having moved from iphone's built in music player is the sleep timer. I understand this feature stopped working in one of the recent versions of spotify App. If it is a compatibility issue partly related to iOS 5, may I suggest that you build a sleep timer into the App itself? 

Also, as suggest by one other Spotify user, Nyx, it would be even better if you could include an alarm featuer so we can all wake up to our favourite playlists within Spotify.

Thanks again for all the great work you guys are doing and we really hope you would consider this new idea.

Update: The issue with sleep timer seems to be working in iOS 8.

I would very much like this timer functionality. It sort of already works, so the amount of work to make it really work cannot be that much.

At the moment it does stop, but only for a blink of an eye and then continues to play again.

Considering Apple/iTunes probably is going to release something very competitive soon I would consider solving all the things that iTunes will be able to do out of the box.

Totally agree, this is VERY MUCH needed! I would love to fall asleep to music without drainin my battery.

I have an iPhone six, and have no problem at all, every night, using the iOS 8 timer. Just drag it up from the bottom, click on the timer, and set the amount of time that you want the music to play. Just remember to click on the option to stop music when the timer ends. You don't need any other kind of app to do this, and you can fall asleep to your wonderful Spotify music.

I'm an Android user, so there is no built-in functionality to do this on the phone. The Spotify app would need to do it...please 🙂

What is the real reason why the Spotify developers will not include a sleep timer in the app in spite of the multitude of requests for this. Simple to do. Is it an arrogance issue. Or does Spotify depend on numbers of users and songs being played to function as a multi user streaming setup. I'd love somebody from the Spotify team to answer this.

I signed on to support this idea. Most people's lives revolve around music, including waking up and sleeping and I think this idea would help others and would be amazing.

So glad I didn't pay for Premium now that I found out no sleep timer. All other music apps have sleep timer. Come on spotify!

I think there have been dramatic improvements in Spotify's radio & I could see myself using it more in the future but the lack of sleep timer feature is going to prevent this.  Look forward to Spotify reviewing their decision & implementing the feature.
