[All Platforms] Sleep Timer

I am a new user to Spotify from NZ and the first thing I miss having moved from iphone's built in music player is the sleep timer. I understand this feature stopped working in one of the recent versions of spotify App. If it is a compatibility issue partly related to iOS 5, may I suggest that you build a sleep timer into the App itself

Also, as suggest by one other Spotify user, Nyx, it would be even better if you could include an alarm featuer so we can all wake up to our favourite playlists within Spotify.

Thanks again for all the great work you guys are doing and we really hope you would consider this new idea.

Cheers

Update: The issue with sleep timer seems to be working in iOS 8.

Suggestion. Excellent if they added a timer in the settings of the app. Many of us use Spotify when going to bed. Thank you!

Sugerencia. Excelente si añadieran un temporizador en los ajustes de la app. Muchos usamos Spotify al ir a la cama. ¡Gracias!

It doesn't matter what we want. Spotify clearly doesn't care about adding
it. If they did it would already be implemented. They are happy taking our
money.

Come on guys, I'm in this thread because I want this feature as well but
let's face it, a company does not design their products by adding every
single feature that people ask for in a forum, that will make the app
**bleep**ty in a very short time.

Forums are good to share our ideas, but that doesn't mean that everything
goes in.

Also using all sort of black mailing like:

I'm closing my account!!!

or things like:

yeah you like my money but you don't add my features!!!

It's not going to work, you should know better.

Spotify provides the best streaming service, that's why we are here, while
it would be nice to have the sleeping timer, it's not a good reason to
quit, IMHO of course.

Cheers

 Hey,

please rethink this idea! It's easy to program and would have a huge benefit for your users. A Be-Goal 🙂

Even if it is not a core feature for Spotify - of cause.

As your target group, I tell you it would make me appreciate your application even more.!

and it's nearly X-Mas 😉

I personally feel like it's a necessity to have the sleep timer for sure. Coz why have a sleep playlist and not the sleep timer. It is kind of a full package. I sure hope the hard-working team at Spotify adds this in the next major update coz that would be awesome

An in app sleep timer would be perfect!! That was one of the features that kept me with 8tracks for so long. It wasn't until they implemented a weekly listen limit that I realized it was time to move on. Thank god Spotify is around!

It would be amazing to have sleeping timer, so I can replace my radio for Spotify when I go to sleep. Please think about it!

I'm obviously not the first to think of this but as a paid subscription user for many years... and loving your program and app... I agree with the many other requests!  I would love to use Spotify to fall asleep to.  I have created a few small playlists for that purpose but having a generic sleep timer would be less of a hassle.  Not as much to be used to wake to because what I want to listen to to fall asleep to might not be the best thing to use to wake up to, lol.

But, if you create both these options, sleep and wake timers, I would also recomend a gentle fadout over minutes (5 to 10) for the sleep cycle and a gentle fade in for the wake cycle over a much less time.  Thanks for your consideration.

A sleep timer would be great so music isn't running all night
