[All Platforms] Sleep Timer

I am a new user to Spotify from NZ and the first thing I miss having moved from iphone's built in music player is the sleep timer. I understand this feature stopped working in one of the recent versions of spotify App. If it is a compatibility issue partly related to iOS 5, may I suggest that you build a sleep timer into the App itself? 

Also, as suggest by one other Spotify user, Nyx, it would be even better if you could include an alarm featuer so we can all wake up to our favourite playlists within Spotify.

Thanks again for all the great work you guys are doing and we really hope you would consider this new idea.

Update: The issue with sleep timer seems to be working in iOS 8.

@Bjwelling I completely agree. I'm paying for Premium Family subscription at $14.99 a month. I would like to have some premium features like a sleep timer. According to the muscian page, 30% of the subscription fees goes to Spotify and rest is payed out to royalities. So from my $14.99 monthly subscription, Spotify has $4.49 to opperate with. If you have 100 Family Premium Subscribers, that is $449.70 for one month. Why can you not hire a programmer from India and get this feature working?

The in-app sleep timer is now even more needed with chromecast... music goes on all night in chromecast even if the iOS sleep timer shuts down the music in the iphone!! 

Also, if you ever do it, add the possibility of 'stopping after song ends'.

I would greatly appreciate a sleep timer because when I do fall asleep with music I wake up & my battery is drained 😞

I would echo the sleep timer idea. I've been using spotify for a few weeks and it's one thing that's missing. 

I've seen posts around the sleep timer from 2012 so having 4 years of request and still nothing been done I don't think my comment will make a difference.

You guys really need this now that the Amazon Echoe is out, please hurry with this much needed feature. I bought it thinking it would have the option to set spotify to wake up to since it's an alarm clock and has access to spotify, buit unfortunately I have to have it linked bluetooth to play auto my smart phone and set the alarm there with this ghetto 3rd party app alarmify. Please just add native support, there are already enough people using this, just look at the user base on alarmify.

Temp Alarm Solution for smart phone users who want to use phone or bluetooth device to wake up to:
1. Download spotify on smart phone.
2. Download wakify on your smart phone.

3. Open wakify

4. Open Spotify

5. Connect Bluetooth device to play to (if desired)

6. Setup a test alarm for 5 mins away

7. Make sure it works:

A: Test

B: Check volume level
8. Setup actual alarm & hope for the best.
9. It is always a good idea to setup a backup alarm for 5 mins later in case something goes wrong (not on same device.)
