[All Platforms] Sleep Timer

I am a new user to Spotify from NZ and the first thing I miss having moved from iphone's built in music player is the sleep timer. I understand this feature stopped working in one of the recent versions of spotify App. If it is a compatibility issue partly related to iOS 5, may I suggest that you build a sleep timer into the App itself

Also, as suggest by one other Spotify user, Nyx, it would be even better if you could include an alarm featuer so we can all wake up to our favourite playlists within Spotify.

Thanks again for all the great work you guys are doing and we really hope you would consider this new idea.

Cheers

Update: The issue with sleep timer seems to be working in iOS 8.

The request have been made several years ago and nothing yet.  Going by customers behavior and habits you have lost about 4 to 5% customer retention......$$$$$.  I am a new customer and I might leave to go to one that has the sleep timer feature.  When I am home it is fine because I use it trough my Sonos system wich have a SLEEP Timer, go figure, a music system or app must have a sleep timer.....it's a must.  When I am on the road I cannot use my Sonos app so I rely on the Spotify app.  So I wonder what Would Spotify management suggest I do......oh I know they will say wait we will eventualy have one in ten years........there goes an other unstisfy customer moving on to an other service provider.............just think how much $$$$$ are lost because of lost in customer retention.  The votes are only a small portion of the one wanting this feature.     Just calculate the $$$ for 1%  increase in customer retention maybe you would change the priority.

It's always funny to read how people think they are way smarter in commenting and criticizing everyone else's business decisions, who by the way are making billions in revenue, way to go guys, keep on bringing the funny numbers.

You can of course suggest a feature but that's it, giving out your business recipes, by means of your supposely user retention forumulas, just makes you look like a fool, please stop that.

You NEED to add a sleep timer for Android (and the rest). Until you do I have to use TuneIn when I go to sleep. I have just under a month left on my 3 month trial and this would be a good way to make me want to keep paying for Spotify.

Guys we've got 1999 votes - surely they'll implement this idea when we hit 2k!

Naturally, I have not read 39 pages of comments, but guys: at least speaking for iOS users, why implement a sleep timer if one is already integrated into the OS? Just go to the timer function of Apple's clock app, at the very end of the sound choice and select "Stop Playing". Here you go, I use it with Spotify every night!:-)

If needed, a longer exemplary manual is available here and elsewhere: https://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-use-the-built-in-sleep-timer-in-ios/

This is a great idea. I really hope they do this. It would also be cool if they added that you could stop commercials while you go to sleep, because it always jars me awake.

Still waiting for that Sleep Timer :(. I don't use Spotify that often because of the lack of it. Using RadioFM instead, but wish I could listen my own music without waking up at night because it's still on.

Please make the alarm clock integration happen. That would be amazing!!!

I've been using Google Play Music a lot lately because of this reason.  I need a sleep timer at night.  I suffer from sleep Paralysis. If I listen to music for awhile before falling asleep, even as I start to dose off, it often prevents the s.p. from setting in.  But I can't fall into a deep sleep or stay sleeping with music on.  So a timer is a necessity!  Pandora has one too so I'm experimenting with Panorama Premium.  No other music app is as user intuitive and easy to navigate as Spotify.  But Spotify is the only one without a sleep timer.  I want to keep Spotify and my health.
