[All Platforms] Sleep Timer

I am a new user to Spotify from NZ and the first thing I miss having moved from iphone's built in music player is the sleep timer. I understand this feature stopped working in one of the recent versions of spotify App. If it is a compatibility issue partly related to iOS 5, may I suggest that you build a sleep timer into the App itself

Also, as suggest by one other Spotify user, Nyx, it would be even better if you could include an alarm featuer so we can all wake up to our favourite playlists within Spotify.

Thanks again for all the great work you guys are doing and we really hope you would consider this new idea.

Cheers

Update: The issue with sleep timer seems to be working in iOS 8.

I need this feature since i dont want my phone to keep on playing songs while i sleep and waste its battery power. Plus, please make it as a built-in feature in the app itself and compatible for android. It will be incredibly useful

I'm using an Android device and would love to have a sleep timer for Spotify. An auto-off timer feature if ever I fell asleep would be great to prevent battery drain 🙂

Also a new user to Spotify. Immeadiately took out premium subscription to download playlists. I am a remote worker, and the idea of listening to Spotify at night seemed great. However without a sleep timer it's not practical. How hard can it be to include this feature? Nearly without exception, every other music app for iPhone has a sleep timer.

On Windows you open CMD and you type :
shutdown /s /t xxxxx
where xxxx is the number of seconds after you want it to stop.
Cheers

Hi Goldsnip

Thanks for your assistance. I shall make use of that with my laptop. Most common usage however is with iPhone. ☹️
Thanks in any case.

I know how to shut down windows, who would use a computer when they want to go to sleep? It's the apps that people are asking for a sleep timer.
Goldsnip
Well if you have a computer available to listen the music to sleep.. it is a solution.

I agree that it should be a sleep timer on the smartphone app.. but well, looks it is not in their plan as this will not generate extra money..

That's very true, and also handy to know for lots of uses.
Thanks
