[All Platforms] Sleep Timer

I am a new user to Spotify from NZ and the first thing I miss having moved from iphone's built in music player is the sleep timer. I understand this feature stopped working in one of the recent versions of spotify App. If it is a compatibility issue partly related to iOS 5, may I suggest that you build a sleep timer into the App itself? 

Also, as suggest by one other Spotify user, Nyx, it would be even better if you could include an alarm featuer so we can all wake up to our favourite playlists within Spotify.

Thanks again for all the great work you guys are doing and we really hope you would consider this new idea.

Update: The issue with sleep timer seems to be working in iOS 8.

Yeah, it’s crazy. Don’t know why they won’t listen to consumers. I’ve come across from Pandora (which has a sleep timer) but has been stopped in Australia for some reason.

5 years going and there is still "no plans" for it. idk what this means anymore.

How are the plans for a sleep timer?

It seems that this would be a very easy add since other music streaming apps have it.

I have to add, even Pandora has had the sleep timer function for years so I'm not sure why Spotify hasn't caught up yet...

Judging from the community posts, it sounds like a feature Spotify users have been requesting for at least 5 years now. 

Come on, it's almost 2018. Time to make it happen.

Hi all, 

I have a short time IOS work around for this,  open Clock app, go to timer, select how long you would like your music to play for then click When Timer Ends, Scroll to the bottom of the list till you find Stop Playing click that and then start the timer 🙂 and there you go 🙂 a working Sleep timer

I hope Spotify is reading this and send you a huge check for all the future loss of sales you’ve saved them... thanks to you... okay some credit also to iOS for having a clever timer.
