[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

I am a premium subscriber, and also an Onkyo receiver user. I have been advised by your staff that it does not offer a shuffle feature for the playlist. This really puts my use of your application through the music receiver at a great disadvantage since I have no way of moving songs within a playlist to a different position either. At least adding the shuffle feature to the Onkyo application would be of some advantage if you are not going to add the rearrange feature at this time. Thank you for your consideration.

Hi @gruposinfinito, please tell that to Onkyo support, maybe Spotify will listen to a company instead of his own users

In other news, tried the Beta and no changes have been made about it.

Spotify support, are you there? are you listening?

gruposinfinito
Tanks for your suggestion, but I had already spoken to Onkyo, believing
that maybe there was a feature within their receiver that I could use to
set a shuffle pattern. They advised the problem was solely on the side of
Spotify.

This topic has been going on since 2014.... is there annything happening soon?

grbsoft

@Kjosing96 Nobody answered so far... Please vote for the idea and rant on Google Play, if the app has 1 star it will be a strong signal about it 🙂

@Kjosing96 Doubt it. Spotify clearly doesn't give a **bleep** about android users. I wouldn't expect to see this feature get implemented anytime soon.

Hey everyone, Go to the SpotifyCares Facebook page and send them a private message.  Amazingly, they responded right away to my message.  They were not very helpful.  At first, the person who responded thought that this feature was not available on mobile at all.  I pointed out that it is available on IOS but not Android.  Basically, they sent me back here and told me to support the idea on this thread.  Maybe if all of you start messaging them, someone will elevate this request and get something done.

The iPhone can do it. Why can't Android. PLEASE

hannsoft

After all these years it takes no sense that this hasn't been implemented. It's just common sense. C'mon.

grbsoft
Well it seems that at some point they think is already implemented, based
on the response gave from the support stuff with instructions to make it
work, although we know it doesn't 🙂

What we are trying to make here is keeping this thread alive and sending
several emails/tweets in hope that somebody in the developer staff could do
de something about it.

In the meantime things like looking for other companies that have decent
quality control over their software are welcomed 🙂 Google Music and
others.

Seems like Spotify is right now with enough income to pay attention to its
Android customers and we all know where always those companies ends 🙂
