[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

Please David be sure to vote for it here and to ask for it to @SpotifyCares on Twitter, somebody has to respond for this.

Great! Others things that can be done:

Complain at: android-support@spotify.com

Put only 1 star in Google Play and rant about it for others to see.

Blame Trump for this? Nah... 🙂

Ha!!! I'm gonna do all of that!

Hi guys, Spotify says in this thread https://community.spotify.com/t5/Closed-Ideas/Rearrange-Music-in-Playlists/idi-p/1380351#M59497 that Android users should add kudos in exactly this thread, so if you didn't please do it 🙂

This demonstrates that they are aware of the problem, question is why this "idea" hans't been promoted to get into production? there are reports earlier than 2014 with this problem... is it about to make it 10 years old? or a 100 pages long thread? (already has 33) 🙂

Please share the youtube video (now with english and spanish subtitles) where I try to explain how frustrating this whole thing is: https://youtu.be/Zg0XeKLtQ88

Hello and thanks for the feedback!

For the iPhone app this sounds more like a bug that's worth investigating.
Could you please create a new topic in the respective help section/ongoing issues board and provide more info about the issue. Then we can check it out there.

For everyone on Android, please add your kudos here:

Thanks! 😉

I just saw Spotify on iOS and they have a nice EDIT button in the playlist menu that changes the three dots at the end of each song for a three parallel horizontal lines that lets you to grab them and change the order of the songs... is not that hard since we already can do this in the "next to be played" queue.

Please Spotify, add this is BASIC FUNCIONALITY!

This has already been delayed 3 years, and "they think it's a good idea". I wonder how much 'Not Right Now' ideas have to wait to be considered...

grbsoft
there are "Ideas" with literally thousands of votes, and our "idea" has
less than 900 so...

One of the problems with this is that this is not an IDEA, this is BASIC
FUNCIONALITY. I feel like asking to Spotify to please add a PLAY button,
get it? 🙂

@Xerotilus I already wrote to Meredith with no luck...

Hey folks, we know this idea hasn't had an update in a while, but we want you to know we still think it's a good idea. If we didn't we'd change it to 'Not Right Now' to keep you all in the loop. Thanks for continuing to bring us your feedback and comments around the Android app. We're listening."

No, you don't.
Already wrote to Android Central too, somebody must do something about it 🙂

I too am a premium user and the lack of this ability is very frustrating to me. I have certain songs that are favorites and therefore have multiple versions of the same song in a given play list. Needless to say, I do not want them all one right after the other if they were added to the playlist in that sequence. It appears you have had comments to this lack for three years at this point. You would satisfy many of your users by acting upon this weakness.
