[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

Maybe part of the problem is Spotify have classified this as a development request, as if we're asking for fancy new icons or something.
They need to notice this is a FAULT, a flaw, a development failure.
The coding is already there, as we can rearrange Queued tracks like anyone else. They have forgotten to switch it on for Android Playlists.
It's so daft, it hurts.

What I find so frustrating are the things that HAVE been changed before
this simply little thing.

Exactly rather than a new "idea" this is about basic functionality, no one
thinks that adding a play button falls into a fancy idea, same here.

An app meant to play music has at least to: play music and decide the order
of the music being played, otherwise is not a music app.

It is somewhat frustrating that having forums, Facebook, Twitter, email
and a support team NO ONE seems to notice this must be done right now

Strange, isn't?

Is it possible to change the title of this original thread to "Fix broken feature of customizing playlists on android"? Because that's what this is.... it's not adding a new feature. It's fixing a feature that is necessary and broken.

I think it would have to exist in order to be called "broken". This
feature never has existed on the android version.

@user-removed This is clear for all of us, however nobody from Spotify seems to notice or do something about it. 35 pages and 3 years of asking the same over and over again, but remember what they say: "We're listening" 🙂

Agreed, just tweeted Spotify help on Spanish and the answer was the usual
"we will let know the developer team" and "keep voting on that idea"

Later explained that this is not and "idea" but a basic functionality
found on every single music app except on the Spotify Android App

I wonder how many more years we will have to wait for this simple task to
be implemented, 4, 6, more?

Tweeted support asking for answers instead of the usual "will pass to devs" BS, and they said, and I quote, "Our devs are monitoring [this Twitter]. Hopefully this is something we can implement in the future."

But... you have implemented it. On iOS and PC. It has to be a simple fix. Why can't we get this? If they're monitoring the feed, why don't they take a few minutes to include an Edit button?

Prime Music looks better and better every day.

They are leaving us only one option how to vote now - wth our wallets. Cancel your subscription, say it here, tell it to them Twitter and Facebook.  It's a drop in the ocean but mayve they'll finaly notice and pull their heads out of their asses.

Until then it's "Spotify does not listen, does not care"

The most disturbing thing about this issue is that Spotify is offering this feature to some of their customers, but not others.  The abilty to rearrange playlist tracks on mobile devices has been available for IOS users for a long time.  Android users are paying the same subscription price, but we are not getting the same service.  Why is Spotify giving preferential treatment to Apple users over Android???  So frustrating.  They probably won't pay attention to their Android customers until Apple Music takes over and all of their IOS users leave them. I'm on a 3 month special offer for premium service, but when my 3 months is over, I will be cancelling my subscription.
