[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

Are you kidding me? This is a very basic feature, I can't believe the iOS App has it and Android users have to wait for an unspecified amount of time.

OK. I am getting ready to leave Slacker for Spotify. The biggest reason is for gapless playback, that Slacker doesn't support. However, the lack of ability to modify my playlists in the Android app (or even the web player) may push me back to Slacker. This is such a basic piece of functionality, that Slacker supports. Why in the world isn't this available in Spotify on Android??

We really need this.

Genuinely spent 5 minutes stabbing at the screen trying to work out what 3 finger pinch touchscreen secret handshake you had to do to move songs in a playlist.  Pretty shocked to find this standard feature has been left out of the mobile version for years?  Every music player lets you make and reorder playlists, how can you craft a playlist in one go, first time with no undo?  You make a single mistake and you've apparently got to remove all songs you added after that point and go through adding them all again?

For an app based predominantly around playlists that's got to be one of the most baffling feature omissions I've ever seen.  And as per usual there's years of people banging their head against the spotify brick wall trying to get a basic (ney intrinsic) feature restored to the app they're paying good money for (me and most of those asking it seems).

Lots of people don't have computers, why can people with phones not edit playlists and after so long and the number of people showing you their frustration?

Literally every other music playing app with playlists lets you move songs in those playlists rather than just infinitely filling them, what are you doing?

It would be so easy to have draggable anchors on all the time in playlist view or to enter an 'edit' mode with draggable areas on each track from a new entry on the playlist's options menu, or long press, or whatever, but as every, other, player, lets you, somehow, do.

Preach it! I'm still in shock. Hate to say it but I liked my Xbox Music app better (Groove).

This is so ridiculous! How do they not care? It's been 4 years! I need this.

Four or five years is the same, this is not going to be fixed. That's pretty clear to me now. Right now a poll is displayed along with this message, say what you must say there: Unsatisfied, thumbs down, not-helping at all 🙂

Besides that, this forum is not the place to get things fixed, Spotify manage this and all they do is turn it into a "Good idea", sure it is. Develop a fully working app is not hard, you just need to want to do that in the first place.

Pleawse try Reddit or even comment on Android Central, also tweeter, facebook, etc. Everything but here, because no one sees it other than us 🙂

I tried twitter and was sent here, an endless loop of red tape and developers who couldn't care less about their customers is all this forum is good for

Seems that no one at Spotify looks at this forum!
