User Notifications

• ability to interact with users via their Profile page

You done a great job of launching apps (looking foward to more!) but its still tough to really communicate with other Spotify users.

and a big one re: Music

• Notification when an artist in your library has new material added to Spotify

Personally, I would love to know if somebody has listened to my playlist, maybe there could be a notification? or just a tab that shows the listeners of a certain playlist kind of like a listening history but just for a specific playlist? This would be easy for small playlists like mine but there would have to be a limit on this since there are giantly followed playlists. maybe it could be a setting you choose.... i'd love it if this worked out!!!

I do not get notifications when someone adds song to the playlist i follows.. I did get notifications before, but not anymore..

This notification system is abysmal at best. I would say only about 10% of the time do I get any notification that an artist I follow has new music added. Spotify needs to completely revamp this, Rdio had it right. Weekly emails outlining artists you follow that have new music, other releases you might be interested in, etc. The majority of the time I don't even see music I'm interested in show up under New Releases, I find out through word of mouth or following said bands on social media.

Pop up notifications on Android itself would be a huge improvement.

je ne reçois plus non plus les notifications sur l'ordinateur ,j'ai écrit à spotify, ils m'ont répondu :

" Nous travaillons sans relâche pour améliorer et simplifier nos paramètres de notification, c'est pourquoi nous voulons davantage mettre l'accent sur nos notifications par e-mail et push. Ainsi, nous planifions de désactiver les notifications sur ordinateur (marquées par l'icône en forme de cloche) le 15 mai 2016 ou aux alentours de cette date."

je trouve ça bien domage ! c'etait bien plus pratique ! j'éspère que celà reviendra ! meci !

My notifications bell has disappeared and I find it infuriating. Why do they take useful things away and call it an "improvement". If it aint broke don't fix it!!!!!

The in-app notifications "bell" on Desktop has been officially turned off. Check this thread out:

For the time being, the Spotify web app (the browser version) still has the notification bell and notifications, including all the old ones you haven't had a chance to listen to yet.

This is the first app I have wanted MORE notifications. I am a performer and theater purveyor and am in constant collaboraton with other artists making playlists, but never receive any notifcations when they add new songs to collaborative lists. 

That and my girl friend who lives 1000 miles away use colab. lists to communicate and stay connected. I wish there were pushed notif. every time she added but it seems to happen sometimes and not others.
