Add "remove video content" option to Spotify Family

Please add an option to "remove video content" to Spotify Family! Since video podcasts were added, my children now watch videos on Spotify instead of listening to music.  I had given them unlimited access to Spotify (unlike other apps) because it was only used for music.

All you'd have to do is add another toggle for "remove video content" next to "Remove explicit content".

Spotify Kids is not an option for us.  My children are teens and tweens.  And because they're teens and tweens, they have a very difficult time turning off compelling video content (just like some adults).  If Spotify becomes just another screen to stare at, I'm not sure we want to keep our Family membership.

this has been there for 3 years, and still nothing.
You cannot prioritise development only according to number of votes: in this case we are talking about kids's health, and you do have a social responsibility to fix this asap, even if it's not the most voted one!

I am paying you to allow me and my family to listen to music, but you are feeding my sons with videos which are just adding to the problem of screen dependency.
Do it now, or we'll just move to a more social responsible provider.

Don't waste your time, you can do it now...

I've been a premium or family tier customer for 15+ years.  Now that my kids are older, I have given them their own accounts, but the addition of video "podcasts" and lack of controls in Spotify allows them to completely bypass the app/device/DNS content controls I have set up.  Allowing access to reposted tiktok trash hiding under "podcasts" is not an option.

Given this thread is approaching three years old and has thousands of votes but nothing from Spotify makes it feel pretty likely that they will never fix it and I need to go somewhere else.  Spotify product managers need to start listening to the users on this one.  It's a REALLY BIG DEAL.

I went here once again just to write it:
If Spotify doesn't care about wellbeing of minors they don't deserve to get any money from me. Taking care of my family is far more important than sticking to their service while there are decent alternatives.
This month I made my last payment. I won't miss all those "x years" badges they gave me, I don't care as much as they don't care.
This thread is 3 years old, has 75 pages and has almost 3k votes.
Wishing everyone all the best and adding one more quote for inspiration:

Yep, I'm going to put my money where my mouth is.  I finally put in the time to research alternatives and found another service that has integrations with my smart speakers, a/v receiver, and car and is priced exactly the same.  I've moved myself off Spotify for the next month and if there are no dealbreakers I'll move the rest of my family the following month.

Everybody here should face it: Spotify has NO interest in fulfilling the request issued here since it is against their strategy. They want all customers to consume video and develop Spotify towards a „social“ video app. Spotify is not the music service we used to know anymore.
Me and my family are happy customers of Deezer now and the more I use it the more I love it. The algorithm is way better and provides me new music. The app is pretty focused on purpose. We don’t miss Spotify at all…

Same here, very happy with Deezer...

It's the same for me; I'm tired of waiting. I will be cancelling my family subscription within a month and moving to Deezer. This thread is three years old, making it a pretense of gathering customer ideas. The truth is, Spotify completely ignores customer opinions. These videos are a detriment, essentially transforming the application into a masked social network.

Really abysmal that this suggestion was made THREE YEARS AGO and still nothing has been done. I'm cancelling Spotify soon because the parental controls are basically non-existent and all sorts of weird, explicit things are being shown to my kid via videos and audiobooks. An admin should be able to have way more control over what a "family" member is able to see. If it was just all music, that'd be fine. Ridiculous to see Spotify try to be an Everything App because it's really doing a terrible job.
