Add support for Android TV

Android TV is Google's latest take on Android for the TV and is released with Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The first device running Android TV is Google's own device Nexus Player.

The good thing with Android TV is that it runs regular Android apps with some modifications and it also has built in support for Google Cast.

Starting today, you’ll find Spotify on Android TV devices including Sony’s BRAVIA, NVIDIA SHIELD, Philips and the Bbox Miami by Bouygues Telecom. Click here for a complete list of all devices that support Android TV.

Rack up another canceled customer due to poor app support and no commitment to improve it. Turns out Google Play supports all the features I want/use and has a decent Android TV app. Go figure.

Thanks Spotify! Google play music it is.

So it's like Chromecast. Keep on clicking Kudo's, but Spotify will never ever listen to its customers becasue they are a pita.

Not even under consideration (as if that makes a difference).

How stupid.

So what's the best way to migrate playlists from Spotify to Google play? This is getting ridiculous.

Count me as another Premium user ready to cancel due to the lack of Android TV support. The lack of Chromecast support was annoying, but this is the final straw for me.

So sad.

Just activated the 30 day free Google Play Music account, and it just works on all devices i want it to work on.

Amazing, and to think Google Play Music is three years younger than Spotify!

It's looking like Spotify won't get any more of my money soon. I know it's hard to be such a big company and listen to your day-one clients, but the '**bleep** you-attitude' Spotify is giving me is simply too much. Thanks for 7 (!) years of music (that's 588 euro's, by the way)! But now the competition took over.

@msalem Thanks. I'm not going to call that a fully automatic conversion, but I guess it's still better than nothing (which is what I've come up with on my own 🙂 )

I seriously want spotify connect on my tv. Thought Android TV maybe was the way to go, but obviously not.. Hope this will be fixed soon, guess it should not be that hard.
