Additional Spotify Profile Customization

I wanted to see something that was different, something more personal to spotify! 

I've used spotify for years, but it wasn't personal enough. Maybe a bio would be nice, and some spots for a favorite featured artist, album, and song. A song blurb section/description would be cool too! I made a mockup/visual representation as well! Used my profile for it!

I love this idea, giving it more of a myspace feel, it would also help as if i like a persons playlist knowing their particular recs/favs gives me a better insight than lots of playlists, bc at least for me i dont listen to half of them any more

Add a feature where spotify users can add biographies to their profiles, have a custom banner, colour schemes, etc…

• I suggest Spotify adds a special badge or watermark to the profiles of Premium subscribers to recognize their support.

Also, Premium users should have more profile customization features like:
- Editable profile banner
- Personal bio or status message
- Theme or background color choices

This would encourage more people to subscribe and reward current subscribers with unique identity options.

To customise your banner colour you have to understand how it works, and reverse engineer to get the desired result.

Spotify creates the background colour for your profile and playlists based on the image you upload to the thumbnail. If you don’t upload an image to a playlist, by default, the background will be based on the colours in a collage of the first four tracks to that playlist.

I have created unique images using a signature colour over a black background or visa-versa. This gives me a consistent colour background to my Spotify profile and all playlists. You can choose any colour you want but it pays to record the colour settings for future reference. You can use images of flowers or anything else but it’s hard to replicate the result without knowing what colour setting achieves that.

I have included a colour settings collage with the chroma keys. You’re welcome to use it.

I love this idea. I always wished that we would be allowed to write a blurb about ourselves and sort the playlists in an aesthetically pleasing way as opposed to having to scroll through 47 playlists linearly.

You can write about yourself, and post a link to playlists in the Chat section of this community. pretty much any category except maybe "Podcast discussion"

As for arranging you library you can custom sort by opening you library panel and scrolling to the top. Select 'Custom Order' then however you arrange your playlists, they'll stay on that order. As long as 'Custom Order' is selected. 

That's why I have unique thumbs for my main playlists. I can identify each playlist when the library pane is narrow.
