Additional Spotify Profile Customization

I wanted to see something that was different, something more personal to spotify! 

I've used spotify for years, but it wasn't personal enough. Maybe a bio would be nice, and some spots for a favorite featured artist, album, and song. A song blurb section/description would be cool too! I made a mockup/visual representation as well! Used my profile for it!

Yes, this would be great. Especially in talking about your favorite genres you like, as well as describing a few short things about yourself. Plus, as a curator of playlists, a profile bio would be a great place to explain my account and have a theme.

Yes! I've wanted this for a while and Spotify won't add it. Hopefully, they will 😉

I think this would connect users together and would be great to describe and express your taste. Or even a quote you live by that sums up your playlists. Anyway everybody would love this feature and I think users will start interacting with the app more.

i need that so i can make my current taste clear to other users, maybe the algorithm itself might read the bio, stop claiming i love stuff i used to like months ago & start acknowleging my current taste

Personally don't see a point to having a bio/blurb, you can share enough information about yourself through the use of playlists, and we don't really need such social features. This is a different story for artists since it gives listeners more engagment with them.

Currently users can publicly share their recently played artists, live listening activity for followers, public playlists are also available for viewing on user profiles. The profile customisation example is less for personal appreciation and more a community one. Featuring artists on your profile is very simple by following said artist, and making dedicated playlists to them and same goes for albums. The only profile changes I can actually suggest would be changing the order of appearance of said playlists.
