[All Platforms] Block / disallow suggestions for certain content

The last 8 times I've opened Spotify I've been greeted by a big waiting Bible podcast recommendation sat there. I get the hint Spotify, but stop. It was cool the first time. It was boring the second. And it is in fact so annoying by the 8th time that I have to write this post to ask for this feature to be implemented.

I hope it's been made clear: I don't want to listen to the bible, much less on Spotify, and there is no way within the app to ask it to stop recommending me this, honestly, outrageously offensive content. I would very much appreciate this feature, thanks in advance. I'm sure the bible people would appreciate such a feature as well!

I love that Spotify is a platform for everyone to be able to express their idea and creativity, but if certain media content is of no interest to someone , I think they should have the ability to hide/block it so it doesn't show up in search results or gets played due to auto-play feature.  This is especially important for content like White Noise/Ambient Sound/Sleep Sounds that are rife with ads and promotions, something you don't want to listen to when you're trying to sleep.

I like podcasts but really only listen to them every once in a while. While searching through podcasts, I'll select random ones and listen for like 10-15 minutes. If I don't like it by then, I move on or switch back to music. However, it then takes that podcast and adds it into suggestions. I don't feel like switching to private sessions everytime I want to try new podcast. I don't really want to wait until it fades out, because I don't listen to podcasts that frequently. Theoretically, I like the idea of having recommended podcasts, but it takes into account tons of podcasts that I don't like. I saw there's another idea to add a not interested to suggestions, which would help, but I think there should also be a dislike for podcast episodes (or a way to delete that from your recent history).

I think you're greatly underestimating the number of users who would appreciate this improvement but simply do not care to participate in this forum or put extra effort into informing you here. Seems like the popular option has been to simply bail from subscription and explore other streaming services. Please reconsider. Spotify is doing a lot of things rather well, and I'd prefer to see organizational change and improved tools/features.

I mean really; I've been frustrated and hopeful, and only just now got around to looking here to see if there's been any status update or users finding workarounds, but instead of seeing work in the right direction on this or the kind of innovation I'd anticipated, you've closed this case? C'mon. Do better.

this is so **bleep**ed up, this should not have to be voted upon by the community on this specific forum, which is disjointed and fragmented. It should be done because it is the obvious and morally correct thing to do!!!!! It is not a fun debatable idea!

There must be at people on your staff who have some idea what it feels like to be affronted with this guy, this offensive espouser of prejudice and aggression, every time you want to listen to music. Please listen to them! I just want not to see his face 😞

There NEEDS to be a way of removing podcasts that I’ve never listened to. A person that really hurt me in the past, for whom I have PTSD from, has a podcast and I don’t know why it shows in my homepage. But not only that, the person has his photo on the podcast. Seeing him EVERYDAY I open my spotify is very triggering and setting me back in time. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS.

Hola, me llamo Julián, soy de Argentina. Se me hace muy molesto tener que escuchar artistas/podcasts que no son de mi agrado cuando escucho una lista o cuando me aparecen en el inicio. Hay un podcast el cual no me gusta, y me aparece muy seguido en el inicio. A mi parecer, debería haber una opción de "no quiero escuchar a este artista/podcast". Esto permitiría no tener la molestia de tener que escuchar contenido que disgusta a los usuarios, de una manera sencilla ya que actualmente dicha opción no existe.

Espero tomen en cuenta esta sugerencia, desde ya muchas gracias.

My suggestion to add a right click to block unwanted content in the app's suggestions is to prevent us from continuing to receive suggestions from artists/podcasts that we don't want to have access to, and also don't have to go to the profile of a certain artist/podcast to select the option "Don't play it". It would be much more convenient to have a right click with the option "I'm not interested" and/or "Block profile". It's very unpleasant to have countless suggestions of artists/podcasts that we are not interested in listening to, whatever our reason is, and this suggestion continues to appear on our profile.
