[All Platforms] Customize Start Screen

This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Hey folks,

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on the Community and showing your support to this idea.

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Update from the 23rd of Feb 2023:

A new feature was recently introduced in the mobile app which you may find interesting as it allows users to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of their Home screen, thus expanding upon the current customization options and offering a improved, more personalized experience. You can find more info about it in the Status update here.

Thanks.

I’d like to see my playlists in the same order instead of playing whack a mole for tue one I’d like to listen to because it jumps to a different place every time I open the app.

Id also like to have new releases right below my playlists, but instead I have to hunt for it because it also moves to a different location every time I open the app.

These two things are incredibly frustrating for me as I use music to focus, keep my motivation going, etc. and I get thrown out of my groove when the start screen scrambles everything every single time I need to put on some music.

Please, please, please make it an option to block artists, podcasts, and other media. I clicked on one podcast and now it's shoving it down my throat. There is no option to report or block like the other questions show.

Hey Spotify, why don't you just be honest about why you're showing me music that I'm not interested in. You've obviously getting kickbacks from the big music companies, otherwise you would FIX THIS ISSUE. It's been like this for years. I'm sick of seeing "New Music Friday" and I don't like "artists" like Lady Gaga, JENNIE, Doechii, SASAMI and more with their bad hats, sunglasses and attitudes. I've never listened to Hardstyle Adrenaline, New Grass, Musica Mexicana, Hindi, or Metal, so why are they recommended? You're obviously getting paid to force this on me. I thought that if I paid a monthly membership, I wouldn't see advertisements. Don't try to gaslight me because that is exactly what they are. Artists and big music companies get paid based on how many people listen to them, and displaying them on the homepage (which I can't change to default to my library) is basically an advertisement to get people to listen. I'm now looking for another music service. You've been warned.

I want to delete podcasts that I don’t want people seeing on my home page

The home page is so bad now that it is finally worthless to me. It provides me nothing other that dumb playlists and content i dont want, will never want, and cant dismiss.

Sure i still have my library but there is no longer any organic discovery of music... I gave to dig to find a list of new albums and its still a curated list not even always showing new albums by artist i follow.

This terrible app experience, along with no lossless option, and your terrible payments to artists is finally enough. After 10 years, i think our time has come to an end.

I stubbornly waited for spotify to right its course with the apps interface. For years now, everywhere its brought up online people are frustrated with terrible design decisions after terible design decision. Excellent points are made about reduced functionality along with great suggestions for a home page that would work for a much wider audience, but each new update seems to make the situation worse.

So much more to say but its not worth my time at this point. Just felt i should share my 2 cents after 10 years
