This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

I made the mistake of listening to a podcast one time and now it plagues my Spotify Home feed every single dang day. That's ridiculous. I regret listening to it so much, and because of that - I actively avoid Podcasts on Spotify. I would actually listen- if I had the ability to hide them, and tailor my Home Screen. But now knowing that if I even register any interest for a podcast that it would permanently stain my account, I avoid them like the plague.

What a redundant & self-destructive feature on Spotify's behalf.

I cannot help but feel as a paying customer that I am simply paying for Spotify's desire to continue exploration & expansion into the Podcast market to compete with Apple. Yet in this pursuit of money- they've begun to alienate their own paying customers, something that I came to Spotify to avoid. Extremely disappointing.

@SweatyMane Interestingly this whole thing finally got me to checkout Apple Music. It's way cheaper and built into the OS of the phone so just works a little better. 

Maybe the push I needed to give up the Spotify Tax

Many people have tried for a year now to get rid of them. So PLEASE for the love of all that is music let me remove that filth from my homepage.

I WILL (and I mean it) NEVER LISTEN TO ANY PODCAST ON THIS PLATFORM

I will take all extra steps necessary to never ever open a podcast on your platform.

How do i get rid of the episodes for you right underneath my good morning music...it is ridiculous that i have to look at some of the inappropriate pictures every morning...absurd if we cannot choose to delete this **bleep** and I am paying for it...we should be able to delete and block whatever we choose...upset paying customer.

I would totally understand the pushing of useless functions if I was using a free service, but I am paying good money for this every month. Please give me agency to choose what I see every day, it is such a simple thing. Please.
