[All Platforms] "Don't Like Button" should be added to all sections

Hello everyone,

I am not sure why it keeps changing between updates, although in the past Daily Mixes have the Like & Dislike button. But this time around it has been completely removed and is only available Under Your Weekly Discovery.

It would be nice if the "Don't Like Button" was added everywhere, from Weekly Discovery, Daily Mixes, even when searching specific songs, albums, genres etc. to better filter our music preferences.

Also I find on Android on the drop down menu the Don't like button rarely ever works and have to enter the app directly. Like always works perfectly fine.

I would appreciate it if this could be considered.

Thank you

Please fix this!!!!!!!!!

Y'all literally send me into a suicidal spiral about once a week because you won't hide the songs from my first wedding.

There's no "hide this song" that works on Google nest hubs. This is a giant defect in your software not an "enhancement request" or however you're framing it.

Heyah! Thought I'd leave a comment again /o/ Been watching this thread since page 4 and a similar one (https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/All-Platforms-Allow-hide-song-function-to-sync-across-AL...) since June 21 🎉

5.200 ppl there who upvoted it and NOBODY cares 😄

I've been happily using Deezer for the past 2 years by now. And love the "flow" function there. Its like a radio with all your music tastes in a nice mix. And guess what: whatever songs happens to pop up in there, that I dont like, I can choose to NOT PLAY OR SUGGEST THIS SONG EVER AGAIN. Isnt that a treat? Also: There's even an overview over all the blocked songs and artists, should I ever change my mind or taste and want to unblock them 😄
Deezer still is missing quite a few QoL features, that spotify definitely does better, especially on the PC version. But.. I'm happy to overlook that, and the higher price, for not being forced to listen to music I hate. 😊

That being said. I'll keep following this thread, nowadays just for my utter amusement and probably till im grey and old. But should spotify EVER decide to implement this feature I'll be back in a jiffy~ ❤️

But until then.. I'll stick to Deezer. They're more likely to add the QoL features it's missing right now sooner than Spotify will allow to block songs. Cheers. ✌️ I'll be back in 2 years or sth to see how everyone is doing 😂

Agree 1000% with this comment and it should be a foregone update by now. If you can ❤ a song and it syncs across all devices, you should also be able to hide a song COMPLETELY on your account. Seems it only takes 3 years to make so little progress for something so sensible and obvious. Please just push it through already.

I’m constantly receiving top 40 type of artist & genre recommendations even though I don’t listen to any of that & my playlists don’t include it. How is it that Spotify has the ability to offer decent suggestions after an artist’s top songs finish & other artists are auto played, yet be so off when it comes to the Check This Out suggestions on the home page? There needs to better personalization when it comes to curated playlists & album suggestions.

Also, there are over 5k upvotes for this suggestion. How many are needed for Spotify to recognize this is a necessary implementation? There are so many other blatant no brainer oversights when it comes to must need features that continue to be absent from the app. Like the ability to auto replace tracks with higher quality remasters of the same song, & the option to auto remove duplicates (such as unintentionally adding the same song to a playlist because a song is available on multiple albums (greatest hits, re-releases, etc).

The emotional response to hearing a song that is annoying to you is much stronger and worse than Spotify internal seems to realize. It's extremely frustrating to be listening to music and have a song pop up that you don't like on any regular basis. It is crucial for a positive experience using Spotify that they provide an easy way of preventing an annoying song from ever playing.

Spotify internal should prioritize this and save the sanity of everyone -- the context doesn't matter (playlist, radio, top 10 list, wtv), when I don't like a song, my opinion is not likely to change in the next couple years.

Respect your users, please.

Cut the **bleep** Spotify!  Remove the Hidden Song feature if you do not want to improve it. The feature is so frustrating the way it is implemented. I have hidden songs on my previous phone, I guess I have to restart everything!

  • So this has over 1,000 votes and you've still done nothing about it for years.

I'm still having songs and ASMR clips that clearly show that  I've blocked still play on my two mobile devices.

I have been a Premium Spotify subscriber for long time now. I don't not want to wait any longer for a "Dislike Button" Or a remove from Que Option. I will be changing my music provider altogether.

@Shorusai Thank you so much! I had no idea Deezer had this functionality. I just signed up for their trial, and will be canceling Spotify soon.

Thank you Spotify for caring so little about your customers you push us to find better quality and better features with your competition. Not only does Deezer have features I actually want, they even pay their artists more then Spotify does, so it's just better at all layers.
