Spotify Integration with BMW Idrive 6 has always been sporadic and not all advertised features work. The latest Spotify versions 8.5.68.904 and 8.5.6.9.934 have bugs and the App does not appear in IDrive at all. The pervious version of Spotify was somewhat unreliable as I had to occasionally repair my phone with the car. I can no longer see the Spotify App in my BMW media list. 

I can only listen to spotify from the bmw bluetooth audio option. 

I've tried pairing an iPhone and the app appears on iDrive. For my android issue I deleted the App data and cache of both Bmw ConnectedDrive and Spotify app. I also unpaird the bluetooth connection between my smartphone car. Lastly, I uninstalled both Spotify and the BMW Apps. Nothing works.

Additionally, it would be great if my Playlist order in my car matched the order on the phone. For example, although my phone app is sorted alphabetically, my car would only show playlists in the order of what was most recently created.

Who else thinks Spotify needs to get it together and provide a quality app that integrates with iDrive?

Today I have logged a complaint with the support team as this has met the criteria for consideration of implementation and has for all intense and purposes been seemingly abandoned by Spotify staff.

I would urge all others to do the same via their live chat system.

Best way is to vote with your wallet and cancel your subscription and move to competitor. Have cancelled mine and won't upgrade to premium until this feature has been reimplemented. Have been using Tidal which is actually better.

It's not like they have to develop it again as it used to work they just have to re-add it.

Spotify don't even bother to respond to the post, idea has now hit 700+ votes and passed threshold of 500 for it to be considered.

Spotify just take you all for bunch of chumps that will still keep paying them even thought they take away features that are actually useful.

The recent contributions in the German language Play Store are full with one or two star ratings, and users complaining about breakdowns and other flaws of the app (the average still is at 4.5, as all the old votes still raise it). It seems that they currently have bigger problems than just the Bimmer drivers (including the fact that the company itself still is not really profitable, according to published financial reports).

I just bought my BMW X5.. Brand new.. With my Harman Kardon surround system. Enjoying my music in my new car and suddenly spotify decided to stop the idrive collaboration?? 

The iPhone is working fully. So its only android?

I tried everything but it doesn't work.

Can you guys do it as it used to be? Or let us know what are your plans? If its only iOS from now on I would like to know. If it's just for a few months for no androids we can wait.

Any news on this, very very annoying it has stopped working, one of the reasons I chose to use (and pay) for Spotify ?

This is beyond a joke now Spotify, firstly you say if you get more than 700 'ideas" you act on it. Well it shouldn't be called ideas it should be called complaints now. Still not working #jokes

@Vmrenato, the two other partners listed on the Android BMW app are iHeartRadio and Pandora. I haven't tried either, I cancelled Spotify Premium and just went to YouTube Music over bluetooth, downgrade in quality and functionality, but its the same as Spotify without the integration.

In my M240i I had an option to use Deezer.

It was fantastic as the car itself had the app installed and used the bit
in Sim to download and play music.

Now spotify have sold us up the river I'll consider paying for that instead
again as it was a lot better if my M4 has it.

Only reason I kept with Spotify was because I prefer their daily playlists.

But if I can't play them then it's time to change!
