[Android] Remove the Shuffle / Play Button

Hi, I tried out your new design, which I have mixed feelings about, but nevermind that. The most annoying thing I come over in the new Spotify (for iPhone by the way) is the dumb, big, overlapping, unnecessary shuffle play button that pops up everywhere. Is this a bug or is this on purpose? Could at least had add an option for it. Also, it doesn't look streamlined at all with the current design. Did it even occur that not everyone wants a shuffle play button?

Think about it. Most have an idea re what music they're wanting to listen to, and go to it!

This is actually the no. 1 reason I left Spotify, and what keeps me from coming back.

Many albums are like stories that should be listened in order the artist meant them to be listened. The big shuffle button is just a distraction and an annoyance from that. It would be great to see the option of the button offering a normal Play function.

There's no option to vote *against* this change, so I decided to leave a comment instead. 

I, for one, love this button, and use it almost every time that I listen to spotify. It's not really very intrusive at all, can be scrolled away from or ignored, and doesn't prevent you from accessing the first song on your playlist/album. When I want to listen to something in order I just click the first song in the album/playlist. On every device that I've ever used Spotify on, this doesn't even require you to swipe/scroll anywhere, the first song in the playlist or first album is already showing.

If you are going to consider this request as an idea for future implimentation PLEASE make it optional!

Here's one example of the "issue" on iPhone 5S. First song is not accessible without scrolling.

Apple Music ... doing UI right.

Just signed up for Apple Music, and lo and behold...the UI offers exactly what the Spotify users on this thread are asking for--a play button beside the shuffle button. I don't think I'll miss my Spotify subscription at all.

Why would you make a huge shuffle button and bury the un-shuffle button?

Why would you have a PLAY button on Spotify-curated playlists but a SHUFFLE/PLAY button on 3rd-party playlists.

Obviously because they want a better UX on their own playlists and force a worse UX on all other playlists.

There can be no other reason.

The comment above by Tyzrek is obviously someone who works for the Spotify team that thought this Mega Shuffle button was a good idea.

The image posted by Por shows a situation in which this UI is problematic. Even though I like the shuffle play button quite a bit, I occationally start albums from the begining and, though I don't feel that a slight scrolling hinders this for me *personally* (since it's a less comming usage of Spotify for me), I can see how other users would find this problematic since the only option for playing the album otherwise is to shuffle it. 

@por Unrelated: But thanks for giving me a new band to listen to. 

I did not read the entire thread, on account of it's 38 pages. But from posts I've seen, most users are requesting the removal of the Shuffle Play button, or for it to be replaced with a play button instead. Though. splitting the button into two buttons  (for Play and Shuffle Play) seems to be the best solution for everyone, and I'm all for it so long as the Shuffle Play button remains readily accessible.

@tommyboy7 I certainly wish I did! I'd definitely be a lot less broke! xD That said, I don't have a ton of experince with Spotify-curated or third-party playlists (primarily because in my experience people and Spotify are both, *generally* speaking, pretty bad at grouping metal music), but the few that I've listened to have featured a shuffle play button on mobile devices and a play button on a PC, regardless of who generated the playlist. Though again, my sampling is is quite small.

Would love to have the option to disable shuffle mode in the settings for Premium users so the shuffle play button is replaced with a Play all button or similar

I hate shuffle. We should have an option. I want to   play in my order of  choice not yours.
