Bring back the heart button!

I am incredibly frustrated that I can't see which songs I liked in my own playlists. I don't want to go to the Liked Songs-list everytime I want to add my favorite songs to the queue. Bring back the heart!!!

> I insist. This "Ideas" section of Spotify is absolutely useless. Users express their opinions, frustrations, etc...

> but nobody looks at it. Example: Spotify doesn't even follow the processes they themselves create.

> This idea should be marked as "Under Consideration" or "Case Closed", according to their own scheme.

> This whole "Ideas" section is a huge lie.

Spotify are liars! Look at the chart! They are lying to our faces!

It's been a year since the heart button was replaced with the + button, and there are still so many people who want it back.

I don’t like the fact that I’m getting used to this change, so I want to organize and re-evaluate the problems with the heart button here.

  1. Cannot see the heart within the playlists that I created. → This is probably the most agreed upon and main downside of this change. Correct me if I’m wrong.
  2. Cannot easily remove a song from a playlist while listening. Before, we could un-heart the song and simply remove it from our liked list.
  3. “Hearted songs” were the songs we used to mark as “bangers” to differentiate them from other mediocre songs on our playlists. Now, the meaning of a checkmarked song is diluted since it’s either saved in the liked songs or added to the library. There’s no special meaning attached to it.

A question: When there was a heart button, how did you save songs that you considered "mediocre"?

Did you save every mediocre song you heard by hitting the three dots → add to playlist? Or were you extremely selective and only hearted the songs you REALLY liked? Just want to understand the issue better.

Yes I totally agree that crying about this here seems to be totally useless 🙂 At least from the point of view that Spotify would do something about it or even bother to reply something.

My workarounds for this at the moment are :

- Where possible I have installed about year old version of Spotify and denied auto updates. I can not do this on my work phone or computer.

- I have also started to replace the heart by downloading the really good songs. The dowloaded songs stand out from the rest with this dowload arrow kind of thing. This way at least I see from playlist with thousand songs which are the ones I really like. I find it somehow satisfying to see a long playlist with my own markings of what I like 😀 Without this the playlist seem like a mess -> at the moment Spotify new versions seem like a mess.

I have tried other services but not yet find a one that is as good as "old" spotify versions. I just wish Youtube would make a better music service as I have the Youtube premium anyway.

Okay now I'm even more frustrated! I like an album and it still won't like songs. Either you fix the album like to all songs or bring back our choices to like all songs Please! I beg of you. We All need choices, not just 1 way. I truly do love you and can't thank you enough for my library!

I'm for returning the 💚 in the web player only, while keeping the in the desktop and mobile app. This would give us the benefits of both being able to see tracks we have marked with a 💚 as well as tracks we've added to other playlists

I believe that Spotify doesn't care about what's written here. They just continue doing whatever they want and don't listen to the users.

Good News - I think they're testing the heart button again by temporarily implementing it for some users.

But it seems like the function of putting the songs on multiple playlists is not integrated. We'll see..

Yes, correct, we have an idea.

Yes, that's right, we have an idea. And it seems that there are many of us with the same idea. And is there any point in expressing our opinion here? Not at all.

Spotify. That music streaming program where you can't see at a glance, and everywhere, the songs you've marked as favorites. What an absolute disaster.

One year has passed. This "community" is useless, like screaming to the void. It would be better if it didn't exist, it just creates false hope that the developers might listen/answer. They're taking everyone for fools.

Thank God I never had any serious issue with Spotify, I bet it would be a nightmare to expect some kind of support from these money grabbers.
