Fix the algorithm choosing too many short songs

It would be pretty nice if The Algorithm would reflect listening history and taste profile  in terms of song length!

It would be pretty cool if mainly listening to tracks between 4 to 10 minutes doesn't result in Discover Weeklies, Release Radars and Daily Mixes 80% tracks shorter than 4 minutes and 30% even below the 2 minute mark!

Personally it would be really sweet to see Discover Weeklies and Release Radars again with and average length of 3+ hours in stead of 2- hours.

EDIT (for deaf ears, though): A good week now has 50% of the tracks in DW & RR longer than 3m. Usually the shortest songs of the album are selected by the Algorithm. It's has become a sad show of excrement.

This is absurd, for a person that enjoys chill, psychedelic, ,drone, ambient, progressive metal and genres that consist on songs being 4 to 15 minutes long or even more, the the daily mixes are not good. At all!
I even made sure i follow every artist i like and it didn't change anything.
I didn't even open spotify for a whole year and i'm baffled this is still an issue.

Spotify takes an uncannily accurate music discovery service and ruins it by playing only 1-2 minute songs instead of normal songs, which for any given artist may be 3-4 minutes, 7-10 minutes, or 20+. It stops me from listening. Mostly I'm on YouTube because I can actually listen to full length songs. This is what will make me drop my subscription. As an aside, I wonder why Spotify does this. It seems like it works against their interests by playing more songs and earning (slightly) more for artists, but at the expense of presenting what the artist really does.

I made another attempt today. Before I decided to register, I did a quick radio check of my favorite artists with the web player. I couldn't find any anomalies. So I registered, subscribed to Premium and tried one or two radios while listening to music. Unfortunately, I found that everything remained the same. Does the problem only affect Premium accounts? Do free accounts also have the problem?

Spotify has a ton of tracks less than 2-3 minutes, and that cut off abruptly. They clearly do this to make their catalog look bigger, as well as "payola" reasons.

WHEN IS THIS GOING TO STOP?!  It is absolutely garbage. I even search both within spotify & online to links that open on spotify!

I search say, "1 hour meditation song" and get a useless ton of playlists made up on 1-4 minute songs.

Meditating to music that changes, different vibes every few minutes... What a waste!

Also try other variations of searches/words, even as short as 10 minutes....

What is worse is do not know how long an actual song will be unless you click on it and let it begin to play.

Thus, 1, utterly wasting time searching and searching (uh, anyone see meditation time is over by time spent doing this) and 2, is this (playing them even if just a few seconds each) giving the algorithms data to indicate that i actually want these drips/ flashes/whisps of music?

Seriously considering leaving Spotify... disappointing.

After nearly two years of this being an issue I think it's clear this isn't a bug but rather an intentional decision by Spotify to emphasize short songs. I have no idea why they'd do this, it severely limits the functionality of radio and limits discoverability for artists who make long-than-average-length songs. You can see many small artists whose most-streamed songs are intros/outros/interludes because of this change, it's absurd

its just the way it is now, cant see it changing anytime soon if its making them more $$$$$. unfortunately i am so locked into Spotify, changing to another platform seems a major hassle.
