Option to Enable Version History for Playlists.

Like many I love Spotify's recommendations and auto generated playlists that update over time.

Though I feel like it would be nice if I could enable on some playlists the option to look at older versions of them.

Sometimes its nice to be able to see how my taste has changed or listen to the songs again in that group/order. Currently I make many archive copies of some of the playlists which is annoying cause it takes a few taps to add the name, put it in a folder, add a date to the description, and also in general its just creating lots of playlists. I think having it on by default for each one would probably not be viable as then there would be lots of extra unneeded data.

I think it would be such a nice feature if you could go in and a playlist's history. For example: I have one primary playlist where i add all my favorite songs during the different periods and I have had that same playlist throughout several years now. Unfortunately, I've come to sort it in once in a while so the playlist wouldn't get too long. But today I feel so frustrated to have deleted some of the songs from my playlist because many of them were actually bangers, that I was just tired of at the moment, and it is super hard to remember many of them now.. So i wish there were this feature where you could go back and watch a playlist's history. 

I know I'm not the first one to come with this idea but I think i deserves yet another try.. I hope you guys agree:)) and please bear with my english..😬

This would be so nice! I used to listen to the Spotify late night vibes playlist a lot but all the songs have changed and so has the vibe. I don’t remember any of the old songs on it and I miss it.

This is a great idea... since Spotify saves automatically, a workable system could be configured to save versions of playlists only that are edited. There could be both an event watcher and a timer (within XXX seconds of editing) so as to not bog down the system with too many updates. I just had an experience where during a session of whittling songs out of a playlist, all the songs above a certain point just vanished. Somehow I deleted them, or the system deleted them. It would have been nice to be able to recover the state of the playlist from even one minute earlier as a starting point.
