The year is 2023 and Spotify STILL doesn't support AirPlay 2. I have new HomePods and Spotify is useless on them. €15 per month for a 2-second delay every time I want to play/pause/increase volume on a song.

I've had Spotify for almost 10 years but I can't continue handing over my money to a company which is quite clearly entirely untrustworthy on this issue; it has been literally years since they announced this was coming.

Switching over to Apple Music.

^ good reminder to cancel my subscription. Apple Music is not perfect but at least it gets the basics right with home pods—free lossless quality is a pretty nice perk too.

Since Spotify still haven't implemented AirPlay 2 support, let's try and create a new idea and see if they are reacting soon ...

@Spotify, this is insane. Please provide an update on this much-delayed feature. Even if an expected delivery date cannot, for whatever reason, be provided, please at least provide a status of the feature development.

As others have stated, I prefer Spotify’s interface and music availability, but the inability to utilize it with my audio hardware will inevitably cause me to give up and switch to Apple Music.
