[iOS][Discover] Restore Touch Preview on iOS App

Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

I still don’t get why you guys removed this useful and yet pretty much hidden feature. You didn’t even replace the push+hold gesture with another function...!? So what’s the point in keeping the feature alive at least until you come up with a serious replacement?!

 

It's like your landlord kicks you out of the apartment without anybody moving in there afterwards.

It really feels like they don't want Spotify to be the one stop for all our music needs, cuz the way it is now I have to go to YouTube to find the right song version that I want to add to my Spotify playlist.

 

before it was so easy, search song, long press on each artist/version until I heard the one I like, done. No need to open another app or use google search.

While I didnt use it very often, the touch preview was extremely helpful when new albums came out and when trying to add new music from the recommended section. Would like to have it back!

How's this decision working out for you? And is there any discussion at spotify office of how much people are pissed off about this decision or lack of response?

I used it all the time! Bring it back, this is stupid. Why do we have to pleed with you. Was it really slowing down the app that much. Just bring it back, there was no one using the app that was like "oh yess, that dumb push preview thing is gone", no one

Please bring this back!

it was very useful when new music came out. I could quickly listen through my recommendations and add that song to listen to later in its entirety. 

I really miss it.
