Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

Touch Preview needs to come back..

 

It's a killer feature that differenciates Spotify from what other streaming services offer. I think Spotify could have done a better job of showing people the new feature was there and how to use it.

Then.. you just ripped it away!

my playlist is **bleep** and the time I spend looking for new music is never ending madness!

 

..it woulda be one thing had we had never met the  euphoric joy and pleasure the touch preview brought to so many of us lucky ones but no, you blue balled us fa life!

..not to mention all the new artists that only get 1 song to wow us making their roads even longer!

 

please PLEASE bring touch preview back

Is anyone from the company seeing these complaints?? Do you even care Spotify?? Please bring this feature back!! I don’t understand why you would remove something that set you guys apart from the rest of the competition. I’m switching to Tidal if nothing is changed by end of year. Tidal offers 24-bit super high resolution music. I’m running out of reasons to stick with you guys.

I haven’t found any new songs literally since the oreview function was taken away. I used to browse the Discover Weekly’s and Release Radar’s with it and find new stuff, but now, I just don’t have time to listen to every song I think I might like!  Please PLEASE PLEASE put it back!!!

Where the actual frick are you getting your info?? Low engagement rate!? According to whom? I used it every single day. I’m positive I’m one of millions who did. You guys really have your priorities out of order. Severely... You ignore us and do what YOU like, instead of what we want and pay for. This is shameful...

What a ridiculous idea. How can we check the song we are searching for, choose the best version, have a quick listen to a recommended song ?
