Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

I agree! I am constantly looking for new music and it is soooo inconvenient having to listen through a minute of the song to see if I like it or not! BRING BACK THE PREVIEW BUTTON please! Doesn't matter if it had a low engagement rate. Fact is that people like me uSED It on a daily basis. Bring it back for us! It was the reason I pay for premium!

The removal of this feature WITHOUT replacing it with something else (even though I would rather have this feature) is the dumbest decision I've seen the Spotify team do. Especially when so many people actively is saying they want this feature back.

There is no incentive to discover new music on mobile now. If you don’t have PC version around it’s pain in the **bleep**.

Needs to be added back in. Absolutely ridiculous to take it out. I've mostly stopped using Spotify because of this decision

Please add this feature back I miss it very much, don’t remove cool things from the app.

 

edit: this thread seems like quite the opposite of low engagement. 

I came here and registered just to ask for this feature.

Doesn’t seem that Spotify are listening to their customers on this!! So disappointing, I’ve been a premium member for around 6 years and I enjoyed this feature, it irritates me that Spotify aren’t listening and I may look elsewhere.

Maybe that’s because most people didn’t know about the touch preview feature. So we should just have it again!
