[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Details

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s).

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

Almost certainly done. I feel like Spotify is playing games with their
customers.

I love having smart speakers that support spotify connect, but I'm tired of the privacy issues surrounding Amazon and Google devices.  I really like the new homepod devices. This is the first time I've considered switching from Spotify to Apple Music, please don't make me switch, I love spotify!

I agree absolutely. The convenience is one of the core values. It is why I
bought smart speakers. As I have said before, at other times I play things
through the HiFi. Even records.
I wrote to one of the people at Forbes ( I had to ask the contact to be
forwarded to him as I could not spot an email address) who has an interest
in the behaviours of Big Tech, but no response as yet. I am ever hopeful.

For years, Spotify complained about HomePod's lack of support for third-party music services. Spotify used this as a talking point regarding Apple's anticompetitive behavior.

Finally, they got their way. Apple opened up the HomePod to third party music services. Multiple other services signed up immediately.

Now, 6+ months later Spotify still says "Spotify Staff will look into this idea once it reaches the necessary amount of votes."

They were the ones who voted for it! They made a website dedicated to it in 2018!

Spotify is playing games with paying customers in a misguided effort to bolster legal complaints. I just signed up for an Apple Music trial.

Why I am not able to vote anymore? Only 1.7k votes ... this is not much, but my guess only due to the fact voting has been stopped. 😞

Without this support soon, I need to switch to Apple Music. Sad, soo sad

I have been a Spotify user since 2009, but recently received a HomePod, and unfortunately will be switching to Apple Music because of the lack of Spotify integration.

Hoping that they will release this soon.

The Spotify Staff should not just look into this idea they should just do it 👩‍💻.

Honestly not worth to discus whether or not. With having now a world of Homepods at home it‘s just a question of time many people are forced to switch to Apple Music.

It's clear that Spotify isn't really paying attention to their own community forums. What everybody should be doing now is contacting Spotify through social media, which is more visible, and directly through their support page:

https://support.spotify.com/us/contact-spotify-support/

As many are paying customers, I think it's important to use those channels to let Spotify know that this is something that has been highly requested for some time now and that they're the ones that can implement this feature, like Pandora has already.

I don't know why you can't vote. 10 more votes have been added since
yesterday. Nothing from Spotify though.
