[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s). 

 

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

Please upvote this idea to garner attention for it.  Thank you Spotify and the Spotify community.  Let's get this implemented so it's ready for general iOS 14 release this September!

After 10 years of making playlists and loving Spotify. I guess it's time to switch to Apple Music.

RIP. Here lies 5k users. Peacefully passed away waiting for native HomePod support. Enjoyed their twilight years on Apple Music, having regretted not switching sooner.

Dear Spotify team, any new update on this? Long time ago was say that the team was working on it.
Do we have to look for other music services? Also waiting on the lyrics on Apple TV.

I switched off Spotify due to this issue and at the time hoped that they would get this support in fairly quickly so I could come back. At this point though it's been nearly two years and there has been no change, and I'm too tied to Apple Music now. Sorry Spotify your loss.

Just started an Apple Music subscription because of this. Tired of waiting. Spotify doesn't want to fix this.

Still no AirPlay 2 support and no native HomePod support. When streaming Spotify to a HomePod mini it has a 2sec delay and cracks every 15sec, a horrible listening experience

I think implementing this feature is worth the development money compared to the loss of potential subscribers.
